Nazaha investigates a bribe worth 4 million Riyals in Jazan


Following a report received by the commission from a citizen, the administrative court in Jazan is looking at a bribery case worth (4 million Riyals) requested by the financial representative of the Ministry of Finance in Jazan region, with the cooperation of an employee in the department of education from a contracting company which executes some education projects in the region.
Nazaha’s spokesman Abdulrahman Al-Ajlan said that one of the contractors reported this incident of the financial representative requesting with the cooperation of an employee in the education department in jazan a bribe of 4 million Riyals for his signature on the paper work.
AL-Ajlan added that the commission coordinated with the General Investigation Directorate in Jazan which in turn arrested the suspects red handed and finalized the control and investigation procedure and heard the statements of the parties. The first suspect got arrested while receiving a 1 million Riyal as a down payment for the amount agreed upon. The second suspect was arrested as a mediator. The case was referred to the administrative court in Jazan after the finalization of investigation from the branch of Board of Investigation and Prosecution in Jazan. 
Al-Ajlan said that based on Nazaha’s regulation which allows it to follow up and look into any case with the concerned entities until a verdict is issued.
Al-Ajlan noted that Nazaha is stressing on the principle of transparency, protecting integrity and fighting corruption in all its forms, in accordance with its national strategy for protecting integrity and fighting corruption, and its regulation. Al-Ajlan also stressed on  the importance of the cooperation with the commission by all citizens and residents in reporting any case of financial or administrative corruption on the means it provided for reporting.
