Nazaha observed a number of irregularities in a Hail school worth more than 11 million Riyals


The National Anti-Corruption Commission (Nazaha) observed irregularities in the construction of Al-maseef school in Hail, after what was published in social media about the fall of a school’s roof under construction in Hail, which resulted in two casualties and the wounding of four workers.
Nazaha spokesman Abdulrahman Al-Ajlan said the commission found after investigating that the contractor did not comply to what was mentioned in the contract of specifications, also the engineer was not available on site during  the molding of the ceiling. In addition, to the negligence from the contractor and consultant in the execution. There were also suspicion of fraud in some reports of the project’s progress which value more than 11 Million Riyals.
Al-Ajlan explained that when molding the interior ceiling of the second floor it collapsed which resulted in the incident forth mentioned, noting that Nazaha referred all irregularities observed to the Board of Investigation and Prosecution for further investigation and report back to the commission of the results.  
In conclusion Al-Ajlan said that Nazaha is stressing on the principle of transparency, protecting integrity and fighting corruption in all its forms, in accordance with its national strategy for protecting integrity and fighting corruption, and its regulation. Al-Ajlan also stressed on  the importance of the cooperation with the commission by all citizens and residents in reporting any case of financial or administrative corruption on the means it provided for reporting. The commission would like also to thank all government entities that cooperate with it in its endeavor.
