The kingdom of Saudi Arabia participates in the meeting of the second session of the conference of the States Parties to the Arab Convention Against Corruption held at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo from 5 to 6 December 2017, in a delegation headed by H.E. Abdulmohsen bin Mohammed Almunaif, Vice President of Nazaha for the fighting of Corruption, and the membership of a number of government entities.
The conference will discuss a number of important topics, including the election of the members of the second session of the Conference of the States Parties to the Arab Convention against Corruption and discuss the report and recommendations of the first and second meeting of the Open-ended Committee of Governmental Experts in the Arab States that was established in the first session, including the Arab Guide to recover properties and the adoption of a mechanism to review the extent of implementation of states to the Arab Convention Against Corruption.
It is worth mentioning that the Kingdom joined the Arab Convention against Corruption under royal decree No. M/36 on 24/4/2012. The convention contains provisions on preventive measures to fight corruption, identification of criminal acts as provided for in the convention, procedures of asset recovery and Arab cooperation in this regard.
