Workshop entitled "role of criminal investigation officers in public service crimes" has concluded today Wednesday 26/7/2017 in Riyadh. H.E. Vice President of Nazaha for the Protection of Integrity Dr. Bandar bin Ahmed Abalkhail inaugurated the workshop With the participation of related entities, Public Prosecution, Control and Investigation Bureau and a number of specialists from the National anti-corruption Commission.
H.E. Vice President of Nazaha for the Protection of Integrity Dr. Bandar bin Ahmed Abalkhail delivered a speech on this occasion said that the leadership's approach is to improve the performance in government entities in order to achieve its goals and cooperation needed between them to achieve the kingdom's vision. H.E. pointed to the royal orders which had an entity established called "Presidency of State Security".
H.E. said that the continuous development that the kingdom is undergoing in all fields requires us to keep laws and regulations on the same level of efficiency and to review periodically. One of which is what relates to the public servants, and where it ensures the follow up, facilitate and accelerate apprehension procedures. He added that the government realized the importance of efforts the criminal investigation officers exert in public service crimes cases, therefore it gave more care to this sector and to educate its employees with the knowledge needed in that field.
H.E. concluded his speech by mentioning that Nazaha has called to hold this workshop on three days in implementation of the outcomes of the discussion panel that was held last year and the commitment of Nazaha to develop the skills of its employees and of the employees of other control entities. Nazaha is keen to organize these meetings in order to raise awareness in the importance of cooperation and partnership between related entities.
Topics of role of Police departments and forensic, role of Administrative Investigations and role of Public Prosecution in Public service crimes.
The workshop was presented by Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Saeed Alghamdi, Head of Genetic Tests, Forensic Department in Riyadh Police, Dr. Turki Alazmi, Member Public Prosecution, Mr. Buti Alajmi, Investigator in Control and Investigation Bureau, Major Fahad Almutairi, Administrative Investigation.
The sessions were finalized with discussion session moderated by Mr. Abdulrahman Alajlan, Director General of Promoting Integrity Department at Nazaha.
This workshop comes as an application of what is stated in the National Strategy for Maintaining integrity and combating corruption and what was stated in the commission's statute in organizing conferences and seminars on transparency and fighting corruption.
