The Commission emphasizes that it will publish the names of the entities that don’t respond

The Anti Corruption Commission emphasizes that it will publish the names of the entities that don’t respond to what’s required from them.

His Excellency the President of the Anti Corruption Commission - Mr/Muhammad Bin Abdullah Al-Sharif, stated that the Commission  has previously requested from all the governmental entities, organizations, public stock companies, which the state has shares therein, to put illustrative panels, with sizes indicated by the Commission at the projects sites, showing information about the project such as the project’s name, the contractor’s name, the date of signing the contract and the amount thereof, along with the date of handing over the site to the contractor which shall correspond to the date of the cotract’s commencement, termination, and renewal, if any, as well as the date of the end of renewal, the name of the supervising consultant and the date of signing the contract  with him/her, and the amount thereof, in order for the Commission to exercise its competencies regarding the points of financial and administrative corruption in the projects relating to the public affairs, and the citizens’ interests, as per the requirements prescribed for in the Commission’s  Regulation.

His Excellency indicated also that the other objective of placing such panels is to activate the participation of citizens in the monitoring of the projects established for them, so that they can be able to notify the Commission of their notes of any failures.

The President of the Anti Corruption Commission has mentioned as well, that although article(5) of the commission  Regulation indicated a 30-day period to answer inquiries and  notes, many of the government entities have not done what’s required from them, which is considered a violation to the regulation.

His Excellency has urged the entities that do not respond to the Commission, to implement what’s required by the Commission as soon as possible, showing that the Commission shall publish the names of the governmental entities that do not respond later on, and shall request that the appearance of the official who is responsible for delay before the competent investigation body.
