His Eminence, Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh, the Mufti of the Kingdom , the president of the senior scientists and the department of scientific research and issuing fatwa(advisory opinion), praised what the Anti Corruption Committee did to combat corruption, promote transparency and protect the integrity. He also encouraged it to continue implementing the great projects which the state is undertaking to serve the citizens, save the public money and protect it from the corrupters how do not differentiate between the permissible and sinful deeds.
He, also, spoke about the importance of The Authority following up to the railway projects. He said that it must be surrounded with a fence that prevents camels and cattle from entering to area of railway to protect people’s lives. He, also, mentioned that The Authority had to follow up the project of the Two Holy Mosques
That was after the recognition visit of His Excellency, Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Sharif, President of the Anti Corruption Committee, to him on Wednesday morning, 12Muharram in his Eminence’s office in Riyadh.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Al-Sharif thanked His Eminence, the Mufti for his continuous efforts in awakening the society and encouraging cooperation among its members to combat corruption and discard corrupters, with his Eminence’s praise on the role of the religious scholars (Ulemaa) on the top of which, is the Senior Ulemaa Council, and their effective role in strengthening the religious and moral influence within the members of the society, urging them to commit to the religious rules and the obligation to the systems legislated by the stat ( may Allah grant it success), warning them against the danger of corruption and the punishment promised by Allah to the corrupters in this world and in the Hereafter.
Mr. Al-Sharif had also explained for His Eminence the Mufti the mechanism followed by the ACC for receiving reports and complaints from both citizens and residents as well as the mechanism for monitoring the public projects by the inspectors sent by the Commission to inspect the reported projects, and the procedures it has taken to make the citizen a partner with the Commission in monitoring the public projects implemented by the State and the influence of that in reduction of corruption spread, in addition to the steps to be taken by the Commission to spread awareness among citizens and residents so as to become active in combating corruption.
Mr. Al-Sharif had finally asked His Eminence the Mufti to continue cooperating with the Commission through his position as the General Mufti of the Kingdom and a speaker whose speeches are carefully listened to by the crowds.
At the end of the meeting, His Eminence promised to visit the Commission in future to review the achievement it has implemented.
