Code of Conduct

Due to Nazaha’s work nature, and what it dictates for its employees to adhere to functional behaviors to achieve its goals to protect integrity and combat corruption, and making its employees to work with more professionalism and diligence, and to refrain from any act or statement that would negatively affect Nazaha’s reputation and works. This would contribute to Nazaha’s aims derived from the National Strategy for Protecting Integrity and Combating Corruption, which was issued by Cabinet Resolution NO. (43) on 2/1/1428 AH, and from Royal Decree No. (A/65) on 13/4/1432 AH, and what was stipulated by the Authority’s statute issued by Cabinet Resolution No. (165) on 28/5/1432 AH.

These rules, which entail special conduct obligations, have been placed for Nazaha’s employees, in addition to what the public office rules

Article 1

Islamic morals and ethics, such as honesty, integrity, and thoroughness represent the framework and the main source for the employees conduct

Article 2

Working at the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority bears the responsibility of reform, protect integrity, promote transparency, combat corruption, and be accountable for public affairs, and care for the interest of the country and its citizen

اArticle 3

Considering the requirements of the regulations related to the public office, the Authority’s employees must adhere to the following:

  1. To carry out Nazaha’s jurisdiction stipulated legally, and work to achieve its goals, believing in the importance of its duties and their direct reflection to the public opinion and interest.
  2. Full awareness and understanding of what was stated in the National Strategy of Protecting Integrity and Combating Corruption and the statute of the Authority, as they are among the key tools in the authority’s work.
  3. To care about Nazaha’s reputation and independence, and to enhance confidence in it.
  4. Commitment to impartiality and fairness, avoiding any doing or saying that may attribute Nazaha to preferential treatment for any individual or entity with whom you deal with.
  5. Not to misuse the position, directly or indirectly to achieve any personal gain for him/her self or others
  6. Not to accept any favor or gifts from any individual or entity that falls within the jurisdiction of Nazaha, or any entities dealing with it.
  7. Maintain the confidentiality of information accessed through working in Nazaha, even after the termination of the job.
  8. Not to give any statements to the media, participate in media programs or write in any newspapers, websites, or social media platforms on subjects relating to the jurisdiction of Nazaha or under its name, without the approval of the president of Nazaha or whom he appoint as in charge.
  9. Inform the president or his vice of violations of the Authority’s statute, regulations, or rules.
  10. Perform work efficiently, accurately, and proficiently.
  11. Execute direct manger’s instructions without objection, within the limits of regulations and instructions
  12. Accomplish the required tasks, at the specified timeframe, and if there is something that prevents this, then the direct manger must be informed, with justification
  13. Maintain the authority's property, assets and facilities, and taking into account the rationalization of the use of energy, water, and telephone.
  14. Respectfully engage with all employees of the authority, and the employees of entities under the jurisdiction of Nazaha, and the public.
  15. To constantly seek to improve and develop capabilities and skills and to keep abreast of developments in the areas of the authority’s work.

Article 4

Any case of conflict of interest that occurred or was likely to occur must be disclosed to the direct manger:

  1. Assigned work directly related to the interest of any third-degree relatives.
  2. Exposure to direct or indirect pressure or threat, as result of the assigned work.
  3. Emotionally get effected with what accountability or investigations may result in with any entities or individuals
  4. Receive an offer, gift, or exchange of any kind when doing any assignment

Article 5

The human Resource department shall provide all employees with a signed copy of these rules.

Article 6

These rules shall come into force after being approved by the authority’s President
