An official source at the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority stated that with the cooperation of the Ministry of Interior, three citizens who are employees of the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority at the King Abdullah Port in Rabigh have been arrested. Their name are as follow:
- Rashid Mohammed Al-Shabrami (citizen).
- Mohammed Ahmed Al-Jizani (citizen)
- Saleh Hamoud Al-Harbi (citizen)
They received a total amount of 2,232,000 SR in installments from residents who have also been arrested. The name of the residents are as follow:
- Osama Mohsen Al-Olqi (Yemeni).
- Abdulaziz Omar Al-Qahtani (Yemeni).
- Hussein Omar Al-Qahtani (Yemeni).
- Fouad Salahuddin Bair Pakistani resident, as an investor.
- Mohammad Ghanim Al-Manla (Syrian resident).
- Saeed Awad Bazbaidi (Yemeni resident).
This was in exchange for facilitating the smuggling and exporting of 372 shipping containers containing restricted petroleum products (diesel) for export, using the names of commercial entities in the smuggling operation. The necessary legal procedures are being taken against the individuals involved in accordance with the laws and regulations.
