We witness these days the anniversary of the Saudi Flag Day (11 March) for our great country, which was unified under a flag that does not get flown at half-mast because it bears the statement of monotheism. The people united under their leadership and changed the face of history in the Arabian Peninsula, therefore, our country became one of the greatest amongst the world in regards to achievements, influence.
On Flag Day, we proudly remember when King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud -may Allah rest his soul- approved the flag in its current form that we see today, with its great connotations that refer to monotheism, justice, strength, development, prosperity and extension of our Arab and Islamic heritage, which also calls upon us to contemplate the symbolism that it carries since 3 centuries ago.
This anniversary is considered a precious occasion for all of us to celebrate the national flag as one of the elements of our identity throughout the history of the Saudi state, to strengthen belonging and let us all remember the sacrifices made by our fathers and grandfathers, so that we preserve our developmental achievements at all levels.
In conclusion, I ask Allah the Almighty, on behalf of myself and the employees of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, to protect the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince, and to provide them with his aid and success to serve our dear country, and to preserve the Kingdom’s security, stability, and prosperity under the banner of the great Saudi flag.
